The contest

After fiftheen consecutive crazy years, Nendaz is pleased to welcome once again the freeriders in need of thrills and sensations for its 16th edition.
The Nendaz Freeride 4* FWQ will takes place on Saturday 5st March 2022 but could be postponed to Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday in case of bad weather conditions.

The potential specific measures of the Covid-19 security plan will be communicated to you by email.

The event will be held on one day only on the mythical venue of Mont-Gond. 

The Nendaz Freeride 4* FWQ becomes the first European event of the "FWQ Finals", which will bring together the best riders from all over the world and where everything will be decided to win their place on the Freeride World Tour.




The top 65 athletes among which some of the athletes of the Nendaz Freeride 3* FWQ will be invited to participate in this event.

Total price-money to win : EUR 10'000.-

The spectators will be able to enjoy the competition live from the Plan du Fou or watching the livestream.

Venue pictures

Here are the pictures of the potential faces. The final choice will be communicated during the briefing, depending on the snow quality, the safety and the weather conditions.
Those slopes can be observed with binoculars from the bottom of the mountain but it is strickly prohibited to get there before the competition as this would be a ground for elimination. Local riders have also been made aware not to ride those slopes during the week preceding the competition.
